Development
Objective
The objective of this CT reconstruction project was to create a clear and educational visual resource using provided patient CT scan data. I was given a set of DICOM files, which I imported into InVesalius to generate a 3D STL model. I chose to reconstruct both the skin surface and the underlying skeletal structure for anatomical context. Once the initial model was created, I imported it into ZBrush, where I refined the geometry by filling holes, smoothing the mesh, and removing scanning artifacts.
For the final presentation, I rendered a series of keyframes in KeyShot and then imported them into Adobe Photoshop. There, I adjusted the transparency of the skin layer to reveal the skeletal anatomy beneath, enhancing the visual clarity. I completed the project with digital painting and final touch-ups in Photoshop, creating a polished and informative visual for medical and educational use.
