Hello! I'm Annie Olszowka,

I’m a medical illustrator with a passion for transforming complex medical, anatomical, and biological information into clear, engaging visual stories. My goal is to create educational resources that are not only scientifically accurate but also accessible to diverse audiences—from healthcare professionals to patients and students.
I recently earned my Master of Science in Medical Art from the University of Dundee, where I developed a wide range of visual communication skills across traditional, digital, and interactive media. Prior to that, I completed my undergraduate studies at Concordia University Wisconsin, where I designed two individualized majors—Biomedical Studies and Art and Illustration in Life Sciences—to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts. With a background that bridges science and art, I’m dedicated to producing visuals that enhance understanding, support education, and improve communication in the medical and scientific fields.

Bachelor of Arts
Biomedical Studies, Art and Illustration in Life Sciences
Concordia University of Wisconsin
I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University Wisconsin with individualized double majors in Biomedical Studies and Art & Illustration in Life Sciences. This interdisciplinary program gave me a strong foundation in anatomy and medical science, reinforced by hands-on experiences in cadaver labs and life drawing. Working alongside pre-medical students deepened my anatomical understanding, while my artistic training allowed me to explore both traditional media and digital tools such as Blender and Maya. This unique blend of science and art continues to inform my approach to medical illustration.
